Jubilee House residential centre is the HQ of Girlguiding Oxfordshire. Set in acres of land, it boasts a climbing wall, assault course, campfire circle and purpose built building complete with kitchen, toilets and showers, lockers, a Guider's room and First Aid Room. In the midst of rural Oxfordshire, it isa quiet and peaceful location - off the beaten track but within easy reach of civilisation - making it the perfect venue for camps and outdoor activity days. The maximum number of girls to be accommodated for residentials, sleeping in the main hall, is 20 - although there is plenty of room outside for older girls to camp.
The building is fully equiped with enough collapsable tables and chairs to seat at least 50, is centrally heated, and has excellent catering facilities - ideal for holding meetings.
It is available for holidays and overnights by all sections and also for morning, afternoon, evening or full-day use. For more information about the facilities click here.
The new Jubilee House was officially opened on 8 October 2006 in a lovely ceremony attended by many members and supporters of Girlguiding Oxfordshire, including local councillors. Blessings were given by local faith community leaders, Anglia Chief Commissioner Tricia Dundas planted a commemorative tree and the Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, Hugo Brunner officially opened the building.
